Collaboration exercise for big kids (7-11)

In this course, I collaborated with a church to become the main curriculum designer. At the beginning, there was a lot of uncertainty as it was my first time collaborating with a church system. We also invited many students from the education research institute to participate, and opinions clashed, making the initial phase quite challenging.

Our target participants mostly came from economically disadvantaged families because in Taiwan, most schools do not invest resources in teaching artistic skills or using game-based learning materials.

Throughout the production process, there were many disputes and arguments. Watching the children fight and, at times, cooperate, emotions gradually improved. On the last day, each child had to speak about their thoughts on the collaborative process. Their words moved me, and I am grateful to the church's education system for embracing each individual with love. We ended the day holding hands, singing songs, and dancing.

Through this, I observed, is it better to create a highly competitive class, or is a group with a strong cooperative mindset, albeit progressing more slowly, better?
